Section titled “Direct Apply Links (Verified Open as of May 2026)”

These are the live PM/PMM postings most relevant to MBA candidates targeting AI-product roles. Refresh dates change weekly — verify before submitting.

  • Anthropic Careers — No core PM roles open as of May 2026 (engineering, research, policy only). Worth a job alert.

  • Tech absorbed a growing share of MBA classes — MIT Sloan 23.3%, Darden ~16.1% (nearly doubled YoY). [Confirmed across 3 sources.]
  • Meta RPM shifted program start from January to September, lengthening the post-offer wait.
  • Recruiting timelines compressed. Multiple programs moved deadlines earlier or shrank windows (Google APM London cited Nov 10–21 as a single 11-day window).
  • APM programs are still launching — contradicting the “freeze” narrative. Instacart opened March 2026, Shopify ran a January 2026 cohort, NVIDIA and Amazon are recruiting MBA interns.
  • Tech layoffs continued through the cycle (~95K YTD); PMs reportedly disproportionately affected by AI-driven restructuring.
  • MBA consulting comp held flat at ~$270K (McKinsey/BCG, 2026) — a relevant cross-track benchmark.

Compensation: Reading the Numbers Honestly

Section titled “Compensation: Reading the Numbers Honestly”
  • Harvard MBA median (general, not PM-specific): $184.5K base + $30K signing + $46K bonus.
  • APM-tier base: $85K–$130K; APM TC $95K–$180K broadly, $150K–$200K at top tech.
  • MBA PM offers at FAANG often skew toward Senior PM / PM II grades (not APM) — that’s where the higher base lives.
  • The “$250–300K all-in” claim for $150–160K base FAANG PMs conflates Year-1 with steady-state. RSUs typically vest 4 years (often back-loaded). Treat any single all-in figure as a 4-year average, not Year-1 cash.

For most listed companies primary-source step-by-step interview structure was not available. Common pattern:

  1. Online application (resume + sometimes short essay or product-sense prompt)
  2. Recruiter screen (30 min)
  3. Hiring manager screen + product/analytical screen
  4. On-site loop — 4–6 rounds: product sense, execution, analytical, leadership/behavioral, sometimes a written exercise or take-home
  5. Bar raiser / cross-functional panel
  6. Offer + reference checks

Total time from application to offer: 6–12 weeks for structured programs, 3–8 weeks for off-cycle direct applies.

  • BYU on-campus recruiters with documented PM presence: McKinsey, Amazon, Apple, Google, IBM. (IBM is more PMM than core PM.)
  • No named-recruiter relationship with most of the FAANG PM orgs — every Big Tech app is self-sourced.
  • Capital One, Walmart Global Tech, Sam’s Club historically have strong BYU pipelines on the PM side.
  • Off-campus pathways (Stripe, Ramp, Brex, healthtech) require alumni referrals + LinkedIn cold outreach with a product-specific hook. Don’t apply cold.

Source: 177-source Opus research synthesis run 2026-05-01. Confidence: 43/100 (LOW) — the recruiting calendar has largely closed for Summer 2026, primary-source data on per-company MBA PM hiring volumes is thin, and many comp figures originate in aggregator blogs of unknown vintage. Treat company-specific URLs and dates as starting points to verify, not as confirmed open roles.
